The theatrics begin…

Combining the new movie, ‘Burlesque’ with true, vintage Colombian and American styled burlesque, our show begins with a sexy, slow dance number, where the girls slowly move in between your guests with great impact and end up on the main stage, dancing in unison. Who would ever have thought that simply walking could be so seductive?

The show then moves back into the more traditional, exotic "cooch" dance style, as our sexy soubrettes flaunt their stunning figures whilst singing and dancing; complete with a live vocalist and flexible dancers with chairs, to the famous cabaret song, ‘All that Jazz’.

Staying true to the well known term ‘striptease’, your dancers then perform a ‘fan dance' routine with small black fans to the song, ‘Big Spender’ as the vocalist makes her way down, off the stage, onto the lap of unsuspecting guests! The singer seduces the crowd and interacts with your guests (in a very tasteful way only) as the gorgeous dancers perform a ‘tease’ on the main stage.

As a grand finale, the dancers perform an up-tempo dance routine with powerful dance moves, bringing the audience forward in time, to modern day burlesque/cabaret, with a theatrical, powerful performance to Christina Aguilera’s song ‘It's Burlesque’. As a grand finale, should your budget permit it, we also offer the option of a ‘silks dancer' to be included, suspended from the ceiling.

Although in use since the 17th century, burlesque really became immortalised during the Weimar Republic era in Germany, both in cabaret clubs and with the Marlene Dietrich film, 'Der Blaue Engel' (The Blue Angel).

Burlesque, in our particular instance, means extravaganza and was popular from the 1860s to the 1940s, often in clubs and cabarets as well as theatres and was performed in a variety show format in the U.S. Burlesque ‘variety shows’ in America often featured comedy or caricature, and most commonly, a female striptease. Hollywood, in 1930s to the 1960s, recreated the idea and concept of these performances and later developed them further with burlesque-style scenes in theatre and films, such as ‘Cabaret’ in 1972 and ‘All that Jazz’ in 1979. Burlesque made a major comeback in the 1990s, and so we have created a seductive, tasteful, Burlesque show for you to incorporate into your next event.
